  • Content creation strategies that keep your name and ideas top of mind
  • Collaborative methods that bring like-minded people together around a similar topic, fostering a feeling of belonging and unity

MODULE OUTLINE

Module 1: What a Personal Brand Is...and Isn't (90 min.)

Module 2: Writing a Strengths Based Bio (90 min.)

  • Baseline assessment: Your current personal brand
  • Personal branding cliches, misconceptions and common mistakes
  • The components of a strong, lasting personal brand and common roadblocks to creating a strong personal brand
  • Identify Accountability Partners to support each other's success
  • Set measurable goals
  • Find your strengths and the right language to capture them
  • Create long and short forms of your bio and identify where to use each
  • Teach others how to talk about you by having your bio front and center as part of your personal brand

Module 3: LinkedIn, Part 1 (90 min.)

Module 4: LinkedIn, Part 2 (90 min.)

  • Update LinkedIn “About” and Headline
  • Review and update pertinent sections with results-based language
  • Devise a posting strategy
  • Coaching and feedback on LinkedIn profiles
  • Open coaching and Q&A on anything we've covered so far

Module 5: Your Expert Topics, Platforms and Methods (90 min.)

Module 6: Amplifying Your Personal Brand (90 min.)

  • Create a plan to share your expertise with a wider audience to establish your name and build your reputation
  • Get clear on content topics that go with your expertise and devise an easy plan to share
  • Identify which platforms are best for your content, personality, strengths, style
  • Identify which methods are best to communicate your topics 
  • Review SMART goals and KPIs you’d like your personal brand and visibility to help you achieveCoaching and feedback on LinkedIn posts or other content
  • Q&A, Coaching, Review

Module 7: Clear and Confident Communication Strategies (90 min.)

Module 8: Q&A Session /Program Review (90 min.)

  • Practice sharing your wins using an easy 3 part framework that can become part of your career advancement strategy
  • Give and receive feedback with your cohort partners in small group activities
  • Coaching and feedback on all strategies and frameworks
  • Review and remark on progress, share wins
  • Identify next steps and success strategies

STRUCTURE OF PROGRAM

Each Module will be highly interactive and delivered live virtually in 90 minute sessions twice a month for 4 months. Following each module, tools and information will be placed in a secure password-protected on-line portal and available to access throughout the program.

Participants Commitment to Join the Course: Each session is 90 minutes with homework that is important to complete before the next session. To get the best results of the program, it is important that you are committed to be fully engaged and in attendance for each session. We understand you may need to miss a session so it will be recorded for you to watch prior to the next session. We request, however a commitment to attend 6 out of the 8 sessions.

We have been delivering this Personal Branding course since 2021 across multiple ERGs at Raytheon Technologies (RTX). This course was conceived and grounded in cultural norms and shaped through extensive interviews with professionals across various affinity groups. Meet the Instructor 

About Nancy Marmolejo

Nancy Marmolejo (she/her) is dedicated to helping STEM professionals advance their careers and visibility by developing strong leadership skills and personal brands.  With extensive experience working with BIPOC professionals in engineering, tech, and aerospace, she delivers her topics in a way that speaks to an individual’s background and life experience, affirming natural strengths while supporting career success. Her approach weaves in years of practice in DEI, Belonging, Social Justice, and Emotional Intelligence

She holds a Masters Degree in Multicultural Education, has over 10,000 hours of coaching and training experience, and has completed extensive training in communication, behavioral assessments, positive psychology, and personal development.  She brings evidence-based strategies to forward thinking organizations ready to cultivate the talents of their high potentials and emerging leaders.

A multiple award recipient, Nancy has been named Woman of the Year from Alianza Indigena/The Indigenous Alliance, Entrepreneur of the Year by The Hispanic Business Women’s Network, and was one of 10 national finalists to receive the Anna Maria Arias Memorial Award sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank and The U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Nancy is part of Workshop University’s Consortium of Experts and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area where she balances family life, business, community involvement, a love of the arts, and volunteer work.
